Welcome!
Hi! My name is Jacqueline Smith. My husband Jim and I first fell in love with Papillons over 25 years ago. Our first dog, Poppy, died of old age about 10 years ago. We were heartbroken, and I knew that I would never meet another dog quite like him, swearing never to get another. Nevertheless, I couldn't bear the emptiness I was left with after he passed away, and so I soon bought another papillon. Jim and I, along with all of our kids and grandkids, spoiled Sundae rotten. She remains with us to this day. At the time, we were very pleased with the papillon temperment and personality, having had two dogs that fit right in our life. So, we decided to get another. Soon after we began showing in the AKC. Once we had obtained five wonderful papillons from various kennels, we decided to start breeding our own. We knew our girls had good backgrounds, the right coloring and markings, and good temperment, and thought that with the right male, we could get some puppies with just such qualities as our girls. Our girls had recently become champions and were finished. And so we made our breakthrough into the breeding business. Our first litter produced three healthy puppies, a boy and two girls. Our next litter was of five: three boys and two girls. We continued to breed, selling here and there, showing these, training those, keeping a few for future breeding purposes, and so forth. Now we have many gorgeous butterflies, ranging from nearly 10-year-old Sundae to newborn puppies. We love them all dearly, and hope you all will, too.

Some of the dogs pictured on this site, such as Scarlett (above), no longer belong to us. We picture them because they still make up our kennel.
